Tarkarli Beach and Scuba Diving

Located in the Malvan district on the Kokan coast, Maharahtra's only scuba diving site. Tarkarli also has lush green coconut trees, golden sunsets, clean beaches, and delicious sea food to make it all worth it. The charm of this place is not limited to the natural landscapes but also to the hidden adventures underwater.  

A lot of adventure and watersports like banana boat rides and parasailing are available, along with smaller activities. But if you are looking to take a dive, then you have two options: deep sea diving and shallow sea diving. 

It is comparatively less explored, resulting in crystal-clear waters. As it is in the Arabian Sea, it has the ideal setting for not only beginners but also experienced scuba divers. Basic scuba skills can be acquired in just a few hours under the guidance of well-trained instructors and all the equipment. 

There are several scuba diving points in Tarkarli, distributed over a wide area of 20 kilometers. You can choose any spot based on your preference.  

There is also snorkeling available here. It is as popular as diving. One need not go into the deep waters to witness the underwater beauty of it. Tarkarli has a rich aquatic life with numerous colorful fish, invertebrates, plants, and, not to miss out on, unique corals.  

You can always just enjoy a beautiful sunset with the view of the Sindhudurg fort from the sea.
